News and Activities

  • Southside Christian School has a full schedule of activities each school year beginning with the High School Retreat in the mountains of North Carolina and culminating with Graduation each May.  
  • In between there are many days cheering on Warrior athletic teams, service projects, Operation Christmas Child, ES Field day, National Honors Society and Student Council Projects, and campus work days.
  • We hope to soon establish an every other year High School Mission Trip.  
  • Southside Christian School is striving to fulfill our mission by allowing students to pursue “Spiritual and Academic Excellence”.

First Day of School — Monday, August 20, 2018

Please pray for the school year 2018-19.  

  • SCS Teachers returned for Teacher In-service on Tuesday, August 14th.  
  • We hosted an Upper School Open House on Thursday, August 16th from 1 to 3 p.m. and an Elementary Open House on that same day from 1 to 3 p.m.
  • On evening of Thursday, August 16th we had our “All School Orientation Night” at the Southside Church campus beginning at 6:30 p.m.
  • We welcomed back over 300 students for the first day of the new school year on Monday, August 20th.   

High School Retreat — September 18 to 21 — @ The Wilds

 

  • For several years Southside Christian School has kicked off the school year with the High School Retreat at “The Wilds” near Brevard, NC.
    • This year the retreat will be September 18-21.
